VETS TAKING LIVES EVERYDAY

Let's Protect them for a change...

Brian Rock retired from the armed forces to become a force of change. It's artists like him, that can make a difference and deserve a voice in this world.  I will never let that fight go, he fights everyday to survive PTSD.  Whatever it takes, we'll find a way to help him achieve his goal.  We're asking you to consider helping us, we'll donate profits from our sales to any one of these organizations listed at the end of this video.  The rest goes to PaletteArt in support of Brian's art career and more artists like him.

Brian has lost three friends and brothers to suicide, just since we met a little over a year ago.  They gave their lives for all of us, even if not in battle, death is a form of healing and they were suffering too much.   Their blood is on all of our hands and you can reach out by helping us, before it's too late for those suffering.  Brian can touch so many people, raise money and help save lives with his work.

In a Land Where They Believe in The Beauty of Life...

This story touches our team member Martina Merelli.  Her uncle, Mario Merelli, was a well-known climber who devoted his all life to reaching the top of the highest mountains and do good in this world, especially in the land of Nepal, where he felt home. He sadly passed away in January 2012 due to a climbing accident in the mountains of Lizzola, Italy. However, his spirit is still with us as back in 2008 he and his dear friend Marco Zaffaroni believed in a project for the development of a new hospital in Kalika, a small village in the land of Dolpo, accessible only on foot and through a trekking of 3 days.

This hospital was officially opened in 2011 and it now needs continuous help funding its operations. It has now become a fundamental and crucial location for the whole valley, and many communities now get access to health care. It costs about $52,000 a year for it to work but it has saved many lives and Marco is still keeping the memory of Mario alive by keeping this dream a reality.

For that reason, we would like to donate proceeds to join the efforts made through the years and help contribute to its mission in the Merelli Family Name.

A School Focused on the UN Sustainable Development Goals...

Help a Maasai school in Tanzania, where a friend has been teaching at an orphanage for children living with or affected by HIV, AIDS.  In 2011 she met Loshiro Ole Mbarnoti, who invited her to visit a Maasai village and help in building a new school.

Beyond the needed curriculm, the Nengiloriti Maasai Village (Boma) is in crisis need for running water, electricity and basic sanitation. With their nomadic life changing, the Maasai would like their children to have equitable opportunities for employment in Tanzania but can see the world rapidly advancing without them. They worry that their culture and way of life will be lost to that advancement around the globe.

Five years later and the school is now built!  They've created a curriculum that blends both the Maasai heritage culture and Tanzanian curriculum.  The school honors indigenous ways that the Maasai have developed over their long history.  The first step in creating equity is to bring the rich learning from the Internet into the school, infuse curriculum with Maasai traditional values, and focus on; 21st Century Skill development, language and entrepreneurial spirit.

Advancing Excellence In Childrens Health Care...

A place that has touched many friends in LJL's home town, giving them hope and saving  lives every day.  The Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation gives the sickest kids the best chance, to live a long and healthy life.

2001 marks the official beginning of the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation. But it was a long journey reaching this point, with generations of concerned and generous citizens paving the way to ensure the best pediatric care in our region.
The story begins in 1978, when the Northern Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation was established to advocate for a children's hospital in Edmonton. In 1992, the name was changed to the Children's Health Foundation of Northern Alberta to more accurately reflect the role in supporting regional Child Health program.
The next seven years saw the Foundation's work touch the lives of kids from across Canada benefiting from the Child Health program's specialized services.  It was during this time that Bob and Shirley Stollery provided a generous donation that would be the catalyst for a dedicated children's hospital.
